Communication and Events Officer Wales


Mae Swyddog Cyfathrebu a Digwyddiadau yn creu cyfathrebiadau effeithiol i ysbrydoli pobl i ddyheu am fyd syn gyfoethocach o ran byd natur. Bydd y rôl yn helpu i gyflawni strategaeth gyfathrebur DU yng Nghymru, gan sicrhau bod yr hyn a ddywedwn yn cyffroi ac yn ysbrydoli pobl i chwarae eu rhan i achub byd natur, gan gynnwys trwy ddigwyddiadau.

Mae rôl hon yn perthyn ir adran Codi Arian a Chyfathrebu fel rhan or tîm Cyfathrebu. Bydd y rôl yn cyfrannu tuag at gynllunio a darparu gweithgareddau syn gysylltiedig â chyfathrebu i gynyddu cefnogaeth ir RSPB a chyflawni amcanion yr RSPB yng Nghymru.

Bydd deiliad y swydd yn:
• arwain ar reoli ceisiadau o cyfryngau ac ymholiadau a ddaw trwy gyfryngau cymdeithasol, meithrin a chynnal perthynas â newyddiadurwyr yng Nghymru, cysylltiadau cyfryngau a phartneriaid eraill.
• datblygu cynnwys a negeseuon sy
helpu i gyflawni amcanion allweddol yr RSPB yng Nghymru a ledled y DU, gan gynnwys creu deunydd ar gyfer yr RSPB a chyhoeddiadau allanol, blogiau, gwefannau a sianeli cyfryngau cymdeithasol.
• deall a lliniaru materion a allai arwain at niweidio enw da RSPB ar draws pob sianel gyfathrebu.
• gweithio gyda chydweithwyr i ddyfeisio a chynnal rhaglen y cytunwyd arni o ddigwyddiadau ledled y wlad, gan arwain ar eu hyrwyddo au marchnata.
• paratoi sesiynau briffio proffesiynol a hyfforddiant cyfathrebu sy
galluogi llefarwyr yr RSPB i gyfleu amcanion yr RSPB yn glir ir cyfryngau a chynulleidfaoedd eraill.

Bydd y Swyddog Cyfathrebu a Digwyddiadau yn rhywun sy
gallu gweithion hyderus ar sawl peth ar yr un pryd, ac yn gallu rheoli portffolio o weithgareddau cyfathrebu amrywiol trwy nifer o sianeli a digwyddiadau. Byddant yn sicrhau bod y gwaith maen nhwn gyfrifol amdano wedii gynllunion dda, yn cwrdd â safonau y cytunwyd arnynt ac yn cael ei werthuso. Byddant yn ymwneud ag ystod o dimau prosiect, yn gallu rhoi strategaeth ar waith mewn ffyrdd creadigol a sicrhau bod blaenoriaethaun cael eu cyflawni.

The Communications and Events Officer delivers effective communications to inspire people to a world richer in nature. The role will help to deliver the UK communications strategy in Wales, ensuring that what we say excites and inspires people to play their part in saving nature, including through events.

The role sits within the Fundraising and Communications department as part of the Communications team. The role will contribute to the planning and delivery of communications related initiatives to build support for the RSPB and deliver the RSPBs country objectives.

The postholder will:
• lead on managing media requests and social media enquiries, cultivating and maintaining relationships with country based journalists, other media contacts and partners.
• develop content and messages to support the delivery of key RSPB country and UK wide objectives, including content for RSPB and external publications, blogs, web pages and social media channels.
• understand and mitigate issues that may give rise to reputational damage to RSPB in all communications channels.
• work with colleagues to devise, and implement, an agreed country-wide events programme, leading on promotion and marketing.
• prepare professional briefings and communications training that enable RSPB spokespeople to communicate RSPB objectives clearly to the media and other audiences

The Communications and Events Officer will be a confident multi-tasker, able to manage a diverse portfolio of communications activity, through multiple channels and events. They will ensure that outputs are well planned, meet agreed standards and are evaluated. They will be involved with a range of project teams, able to translate strategy into action in a creative way, and ensure that the priorities are delivered.
