35 hours, permanent



 



NorthLink Ferries sail daily from Aberdeen to Lerwick with frequent calls at Kirkwall, and from Scrabster on the north coast of Scotland to Stromness in Orkney. Our ferries operate 363 days per year providing the lifeline service to the Northern Isles, with islanders, visitors, goods and supplies all travelling by NorthLink Ferries.



We have a great opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to join our great team at the NorthLink Ferries. We are looking for an enthusiastic, genuine and friendly person who really enjoys working with the public and wants to provide exceptional customer service. The Customer Service Assistant will provide an excellent first point of contact with customers either via telephone, face to face or electronic methods, within one of Transport’s flagship contracts. They will assist the public with travel booking and advice, delivering an exceptional customer service experience, while at the same time encouraging conversion of enquiries to bookings.



 



This is a fast-paced role that comes with it’s challenges however, you will receive practical training, development and progression within a customer focused environment. We have great programs to support your development towards a long and successful career.



 



What you need to do the job:



 



The ideal person for this role must have well-developed communication skills and he ability to deliver first class Customer Service. It is important that you have good IT and Administration skills. You must have previous experience working in a customer services role. You should be educated to Scottish Higher Grade Standard or Equivalent.
