Salary: Research Associate: £30,942 - £40,322 per annum

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate position within the Newcastle Cancer Centre Pharmacology Group at the Newcastle University Centre for Cancer. The post is funded by Cancer Research UK, under the supervision of Professor Gareth Veal.
You will have experience in drug quantification assay development or be looking to develop interests in pharmacokinetics in a cancer setting and a desire to further develop your research career in this area.
You will be required to plan and carry out the development and validation of novel assays (LC-MS, molecular biology, ELISA) to facilitate the analysis of clinical trial samples. All work will be carried out according to GCLP regulations, in which you will ideally have some experience.
As part of our commitment to career development for research staff, the University has developed 3 levels of research role profiles. These profiles set out firstly the generic competences and responsibilities expected of role holders at each level and secondly the general qualifications and experiences needed for entry at a particular level.
This is a full time, fixed term post, available until 31.03.2022.
